Eligibility Criteria to Appear for JEE Mains 2024
Before beginning preparation, it is important to understand the eligibility requirements for taking this exam. Following the Covid, some changes were made to the educational criteria. Age: You must be 12th pass or at least appear for the exam the same year you appear for JEE.
Educational Qualifications: The aspirant must have a science stream in 11th and 12th that has Math, Physics, and Chemistry or biology as the primary subjects.
Academic Percentage: Students in the general and OBC categories must secure 75% marks on their 12th boards. The number decreases to 65% for SC/ST category students.
Moreover, the ones who want B. Arch admission institutions excluding the IITs, NITs, and CFITs must have 50% marks in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics.
Attempts: A total of 6 attempts in 3 consecutive years can be made which means 2 attempts per year in the January and April sessions.
JEE Mains 2024 Application Process

JEE Mains Important Dates
The JEE entrance test 2024 will be held in February and April, with both session 1 and session 2. All the information regarding the registration process or any updates regarding the examination is displayed on their official website that is: https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/

Registration is the first step in entering the realm. The process for session 1 began on November 1st and concluded on December 4th. It was intended to finish on November 30th, but the authorities decided to extend it.
The registration period for JEE 2024 session 2 began on February 2nd and will end in March.
The application submission and registration happen simultaneously. However, students were eligible to make corrections from 6th to 8th Dec.

JEE Mains 2024 Admit Card
The first-session students’ admit cards were available from 22nd January 2024 on the website. The second session students, on the other hand, need to wait till April.
JEE 2024 Exam Date & Time
The first session exams were conducted from 24th January to 1st February. On the other hand, session 2 will be conducted from 1st to 15th April.
JEE Main 2024 Session 1 (January Session) has been declared on 12th February 2024.
The second/April session results will be declared on 25th April. Remember, the dates can change or be extended, so always check the official website.
JEE 2024 Registration Fee Structure
The registration fee depends on how many sessions you are appearing for. The fee gets doubled if you are appearing for both. Moreover, the fee also varies for boys, girls, and transgender. Refer to the table mentioned below to have a clear idea of how the fee structure works:

Drawing: 2 Questions
Marking: +4 for every correct answer and -1 for each incorrect. There is no negative marking on unanswered questions.
Session 2 Exam Pattern for B.Plan
Total Questions: 105
Marks Division: Total 400 (100 Maths, 200 Aptitude, 100 Planning)
MCQs: 95 (20 maths, 50 Aptitude, and 25 planning)
Maths Numerical Value: 10 (Need to attempt 5 out of 10)

JEE Mains 2024 Counselling
