Hello there, I am still an Aakash student, in my second year, and I literally wish I could just turn the time back. This is my experience. In class 11, I had joined Aakash, the first few days went well, especially Biology, which's the only subject they teach exceptionally good. Physics was fine till Kinetics came on, they used “calculus” for questions, vectors for concepts, which I never understood as they had just touched the important math in physics through the surface and expected us to understand it. How can a student understand the Chain rule even before understanding what is calculus? And also, the teacher spent half of the class cracking jokes and then rushing up the syllabus during exams. That's when everything started crashing down. My rank in tests dropped down from 4th to below average. It hit me real hard, and I still couldn’t get up from the fall. I never understood anything in Physics. They went too fast and too advanced. The chemistry teacher spent half of the lectures telling us about his struggles and punishing us for acts we didn’t do! I paid you those lakhs not to listen to your stories! I didn’t catch up with Some Basic concepts of Chemistry only, what was I gonna do in Organic chemistry. I did not understand what was Normality, Equivalent mass, or anything, as he used to just slam those formulae right on our face. However, after numerous complaints, he was exchanged with another teacher. This one was pretty good, but it was too late already....

Ventilation needs to be improved or the AC needs regular maintenance as they used to fail most of the time.Biggest pain was the security guards, hes only doing his work, thats true...but rules must be flexible.He wont allow us to go out even during lunch breaks(sometimes he does, when we get that out-pass which is a very painful process) and all and very rude in talking to students The teaching is good and the environment created is also supportive to study. Actually it depends on the batch u get in the Institute. I was fortunate that I got the praveen sir(c1) for chemistry and more important a mentor (for me), anand sir for physics. Biology teacher was not so much important for selection (this is my personal opinion). I want to tell u during admission must ask for both teachers. Praveen sir is my favorite, I am in ims bhu now. And I must say he was very important part of my selection. Teaching is a better part of aakash but non teaching members are not good, they are very rude....
