NEET UG 2024:- Revised results and scorecard expected to release soon

NEET UG Revised Results 2024: NTA Set to Announce Revised Scores Amid Supreme Court's Verdict on Paper Leak Controversy

The National Testing Agency (NTA) to announce the NEET UG 2024 revised results by the end of this week, following a significant development in the ongoing paper leak controversy. The Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, has issued an order stating that a re-test or cancellation of the NEET UG-2024 exam is not feasible due to insufficient evidence of a large-scale paper leak.

Supreme Court Decision on NEET UG Paper Leak

The Supreme Court's decision comes after extensive deliberations regarding allegations of a NEET UG 2024 paper leak that surfaced shortly after the initial results that  were announced on June 4, 2024. The court ruled out the possibility of a re-test, as the evidence did not support claims of widespread malpractice.

In accordance with the Supreme Court's directive, IIT Delhi was tasked with forming a committee to examine a specific NEET UG 2024 Physics question that presented two correct options. The committee conducted a thorough review and determined that only one option should be considered correct. Students who selected this option, as recommended by IIT Delhi, will be awarded 4 marks for their response. This decision aims to rectify the confusion caused by the question and ensure fair evaluation for all candidates.

With the adjustment in scoring for the contentious Physics question, it is anticipated that the NEET UG 2024 rank list will undergo a significant reshuffle. The revised results are expected to reflect these changes, potentially altering the ranks and college allocations for many students. This development has generated considerable anticipation among aspirants eager to secure their positions in prestigious medical institutions across the country. Official Statement from the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has confirmed that the revised NEET UG 2024  results will be released within the next two days. He emphasized the importance of transparency and accuracy in the evaluation process, assuring students that the NTA is committed to maintaining the integrity of the examination.

"We understand the concerns of students and their families. The revised results will be announced soon, and we are confident that this process will uphold the standards of fairness and merit," stated Minister Pradhan.
