NEET UG 2024 Result Live: NTA Releases Results by City and Centre:-

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 results today, July 20,2024. Following the Supreme Court's order, the results have been published in a city and centre-specific manner by 12 noon. Candidates can access their results online on the official NEET UG 2024 website at [ exams.nta.ac.in ](  https://exams.nta.ac.in  ).

The Supreme Court, in a hearing on July 18 regarding the NEET-UG 2024 controversy, directed the National Testing Agency to declare the results in this specific format. This decision aims to identify whether candidates at allegedly compromised centres scored higher marks than those at other locations. The apex court is set to give its final verdict on July 22 after reviewing pleas for the exam's cancellation, a re-test, and a court-monitored investigation into malpractice allegations.

Supreme Court on NEET:-

"We direct the NTA to publish the marks obtained by students in the UG-2024 NEET examination without disclosing their identities. The result should be declared city-wise and centre-wise by 12 noon on July 20, 2024, and uploaded on the NTA website," stated the bench, which includes Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, in its order.

The NEET UG exam was conducted on May 5 across 4,750 centers nationwide. Initial results were released on June 4, 2024. Due to some irregularities, a re-examination was held on June 23 for the affected candidates, with the results announced on June 30, 2024. This year, approximately 24 lakh candidates appeared for the main examination, while 1,563 candidates took the re-exam.
