The last date for applying online application form and online Fee payment is 08.07.2024 at 11.59 PM. CAPF 2024 Eligibility Criteria

- The Person must be an Indian citizen.
- The age limit is between 18 to 25 (relaxation is provided for the SC/ST, OBC, Ex-Serviceman etc.)
- Candidates must have passed the Intermediate or Senior Secondary School/(10+2) exam from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
CAPF Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
Candidates aiming to join the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) in 2024 for the posts of Ministerial/Combatant Ministerial, Clerk and ASI - Stenographer must undergo the following process comprised of three main stages: the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), the Computer Based Test (CBT), and the Skill Test, Documents Verification, and Medical Examination (DME/RME).
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- Candidates must meet specific performance benchmarks to qualify for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). For male candidates, the test entails a 1.6 km run that must be completed within 6 minutes. Female candidates must complete an 800-meter run within 4 minutes and 45 seconds. Achieving these benchmarks in the PET is essential for progression to the subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
Physical Standards Test (PST)-Candidates who clear the PET must undergo the Physical Standards Test (PST). This test assesses candidates against specific physical criteria. Candidates must meet the height and chest measurements appropriate for their category. Male candidates from most states must have a minimum height of 165cm and a chest measurement of 77cm unexpanded and 82cm expanded. Female candidates have different criteria outlined in the official notice of BSF.
The physical standards for female candidates in CAPF recruitment differ by category. General candidates must have a minimum height of 165 cm. For those from specific regions (e.g., Garhwal, Kumaon, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha) and certain northern and northeastern states, the minimum height is 162.5 cm. Female candidates from Scheduled Tribes or specified regions have a reduced height requirement of 150 cm. Chest measurements are generally applicable only to male candidates.
Computer-Based Test (CBT) Pattern-Candidates who qualify in the PST and PET will be invited to take the Computer Based Test (CBT). This exam consists of 100 objective-type questions, totaling 100 marks. The CBT covers various subjects including Hindi/English Language, General Intelligence, Numerical Aptitude, Clerical Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge. The exam duration is set at 1 hour and 40 minutes. Performance in the CBT is crucial as it determines progression to the next stage of recruitment.
After that candidates will undergo document verification and a medical examination. The Border Security Force (BSF) will make the final decision based on eligibility, penalties, selection methods, and test performance.
