The Notification for Common Law Admission Test 2025 by The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) was released today in the morning. The latest notification contains information about the application opening and closing date, exam date and time, eligibility criteria and the application fee.

In the latest notification, it is clarified that the application date for CLAT 2025 is going to open on 15 July 2024 making a time of 2 months of application date up to October 15. The CNLU provided a sufficient period for applying for CLAT 2025 taking into consideration of maximum number of applicants who can apply for the exam.

The exam dates for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 were officially announced in May. According to the latest notification, the CLAT 2025 Admission Test (offline) is scheduled on Sunday, 01 December 2024 from 2 to 4 pm. It is emphasized that the eligible candidates belonging to the PWD category will get the examination time from 2 to 4.40 pm.

CLAT 2025: Eligibility Criteria

UG Program(Five-Year Integrated Law Degree):

• Candidates applying for the CLAT 2025 should have obtained at least 45 per cent marks or its equivalent in Class 12. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the requirement is 40 per cent.
• those who are scheduled to appear for the Class 12 exam in March/April 2025 are also eligible to apply.

PG program(One Year LL.M. Degree):

• The candidates need an LLB degree or its equivalent with at least 50% marks, or 45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
• Those appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2025 can also apply.

CLAT 2025: Application process

Step 3: Login yourself by giving your login credential.

Step 4: Fill up the registration form and pay the application fee.

Step 5: Download and take a printout of the CLAT 2025 application form for future reference.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is anticipated to make revisions to the syllabus CLAT 2025. However, it is unlikely that there will be any alterations to the exam pattern for the CLATR 2024, as the consortium made changes for the 2024 exam.
