CSIR-UGC-NET 2024 Postponement
The University Grants Commission (UGC) announced
the cancellation of CSIR UGC NET 2024 on June 19, 2024. The test was originally
scheduled to take place from June 25 to June 27, 2024. This decision was
prompted by concerns over the exam's integrity and has added pressure to the
central ministry, already facing controversies surrounding the NEET UG 2024
examination.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has stated that
it will be announcing the updated schedule for the CSIR-UGC NET 2024
examination on its official website at a later date. It is recommended that
candidates consistently monitor the official website for the latest
information. Additional details can be accessed at https://csimnet.nta.ac.in.
The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan,
has emphasized the government's dedication to the future of students by
revealing plans to establish a high-level committee aimed at improving the
structure and transparency of the NTA. Additionally,
UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar highlighted that 81% of the 1.121 million
registered candidates participated in the exam across 317 cities nationwide.
