CTET Admit Card 2024 Release Date
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the admit cards at the beginning of July for the upcoming CTET 2024 Exam scheduled for July 7th. Once the admit cards are available, candidates can download them from the official website using their login details.
CBSE had earlier released the city intimation slip for the CTET July 2024 examination. The information provided on the exam city slips for the CTET 2024 exam states that during the exam, candidates' responses may be inspected for similarities in both correct and incorrect answers. This measure is in place to maintain the exam's integrity and prevent any instances of cheating or misconduct.
The upcoming test will be held in twenty different languages and across 136 cities nationwide. Notably, the number of CTET exam centers was reduced from 183 to 135 in the January 2024 session, with several states such as West Bengal, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat experiencing a decrease in the number of centers.
The CTET 2024 is a nationwide examination that assesses candidates' qualifications to teach classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8. The exam comprises two sessions for Paper 1 and Paper 2, each containing a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
In the CTET Exam Pattern, Paper 1 comprises five sections that candidates must complete, covering Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Science. Each section contains 30 questions, with each question worth 1 mark. Paper 2 of the CTET Exam Pattern consists of four sections, and candidates are required to choose between Mathematics and Science or Social Studies.

Guidelines for CTET 2024
Candidates should carefully read the instructions on the admit card and adhere to them during the examination. It's crucial to follow the important CTET exam guidelines 2024 to ensure a smooth exam experience.
Candidates need to arrive at the Examination Centre at 7:30 AM for Paper II and 12:00 PM for Paper I, which is 120 minutes before the exam starts. Candidates arriving after 9:30 AM for Paper II and after 2:00 PM for Paper I will not be permitted to take the exam.
Eligibility Criteria for CTET 2024
CTET 2024 has updated eligibility criteria for teaching careers in government schools in India. For Paper-I (Classes 1 to 5), a Senior Secondary qualification with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education are required. For Paper II (Classes 6 to 8), a Senior Secondary qualification with 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) is necessary, along with 50% marks in graduation or post-graduation and relevant B.Ed. degrees.
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has updated the eligibility for Teacher Training Courses (TTC), allowing candidates currently undergoing TTC to be eligible for the CTET. The revised criteria also include candidates with a minimum of 55% marks in post-graduation and a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.
It is important to note that qualifying for the CTET is significant but does not guarantee an appointment. The CTET 2024 criteria also specify age limits, with the exam accessible to individuals from various professional backgrounds looking to transition into teaching. For reserved categories, there is a relaxation of 5% in qualifying exam marks. Candidates must meet the cut-off marks—90 for the General category and 82 for reserved categories to qualify.
CTET Trends and Analysis
In the CTET January 2024 session, a total of 2,379,882 candidates participated in the examination. Out of these, 399,815 candidates successfully passed the exam and met the qualifying criteria. The pass rates for Paper 1 and Paper 2 were 24.61% and 8.66%, resulting in an overall qualification rate of 16.80%. Compared to CTET 2023, there was a noticeable increase in the pass rates, with approximately a 13.8% pass rate in that session among 2,906,496 candidates. In total 3,99,815 candidates successfully qualified in both Paper 1 and 2.
