About the CTET exam

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test, popularly known as CTET, is a crucial test for those who want to become a teacher in the Indian states and other countries in the world. It's a national-level entrance examination that helps in assessing and analyzing the aptitude & skills of candidates beforehand so they can prepare themselves adequately before taking the exam. This test is conducted twice a year by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education), which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD.

The exam consists of two papers: Paper I contains Objective Type questions and Objective Type Questions based on Language. Paper II contains Reasoning/Symbolic Type Questions and multiple-choice type questions on Language and Mathematics. Candidates must attempt both papers to qualify for the CTET examination.

CTET is a centralized test for teaching eligibility. Its purpose is to identify the best and brightest teachers who can teach in public schools. The CTET will be administered by the State to determine which candidates are eligible for teaching positions in different districts or schools.

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a standardized test that determines whether a teacher qualifies for teaching in any of the 900+ government schools across India. The CTET was introduced by the Government of India in 2011, to ensure that only qualified teachers are appointed for the posts available in central schools. A candidate can apply for the CTET exam through online application forms or other modes.

CTET is conducted for state government officials and teachers. CTET exam is conducted to select candidates who can demonstrate the knowledge and skills required by the state government to assess the knowledge of all students in Class I, Class II, and Class III so that they are trained appropriately to provide vocational training and guidance to them in schools.
