GATE 2023: IIT Kanpur Releases Answer Key Soon
IIT Kanpur releases the answer key for the GATE 2023 Exam on the official website- gate.iitk.ac.in. Candidates will now be allowed to raise objections between 22nd February and 25th February after the answer key is released. The result of the GATE 2023 Exam will be declared on 16th March 2023 and the scorecards will be available on 21st March.
GATE 2023 Exam
The 2023 GATE Exam was conducted on February 4, 5, and 11,12, 2023 and candidates’ answers, popularly known as Candidate’s Response Sheet, were available on 15th February 2023. It can be accessed by logging in to the application portal.
GATE Exam 2023 is a national-level examination conducted by the GATE or the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) for Engineering, Humanities, and Social Sciences courses. It's a fast-growing program that has been introduced by various national and international institutes to help cultivate the brightest minds in a new way. The examination is a three-hour test, which will be conducted online. It consists of multiple-choice questions, objective-type questions, and others.
The GATE exam is a standardized test used by the Indian Institutes of Technology and Management (IITs) to assess admission to their graduate programs. The GATE exam covers all the subjects that are taught in the B.Tech. course, except those required only in specific departments (e.g., Bio-Technology students would not be tested on concepts such as homeostasis & biostatistics). The objective is to evaluate the candidate's aptitude in various fields such as engineering/science and humanities, mathematics, and management through standardized tests that focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning.
The GATE exam is designed for students who want to pursue research and development careers in the domain of emerging technologies. The exam tests their abilities in areas like algorithms, data analysis and visualization, machine learning, and so on.

GATE 2022
Last year, IIT Kharagpur was responsible for conducting the GATE 2022 exams. They were conducted on February 5, 6,12, and 13 2022. The exam papers were evaluated as easy to moderate. The results were declared by IIT Kharagpur on 17th March 2022 and the scorecards were available from 22nd March 2022. The score is valid for 3 years from the time result declaration.
- Two new papers were added to the GATE exams for the first time by the authority – Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture, and Geomatics Engineering.
- Leh (Ladakh) was included as a new examination city for GATE 2022.
- The eligibility criteria were also extended which included any candidate who has already done any govt.- approved degree program in any stream, namely, Engineering/Architecture/Technology/Commerce/Science/Arts.
- Usually, GATE exams are also conducted at International Centres but due to COVID-19 pandemic conditions, they were not conducted at International Centres.
- There were a few changes made to the GATE 2022 AR (Architecture and Planning) Exam pattern.
