Ishita Kishore scored the highest overall in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam with an AIR 1. Like last year, women have once again taken the top ranks.
Final results for the UPSC CSE 2022 exam were announced today by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This year, there were three distinct phases to the interview process.
The official website of the organisation, upsc.gov.in, is where candidates who took the personality test can view their results. This year's winner of AIR 1 was Ishita Kishore, who was followed by Garima Lohia, Uma Harathi N, and Smriti Mishra. Women dominated the top positions once more.
According to prior result trends, UPSC released the CSE Results two to three days after the interviews were over. The name and roll number of the successful candidates will appear in the final result PDF.
The UPSC CSE preliminary test took place on June 5, 2022, and on 22nd June, the results were out. 5,73,735 out of a total of 11,35,697 applicants who submitted applications for the exam showed up for it.
The Written (Main) Examination was held from September 16 to 25, and a total of 13,090 candidates were eligible to participate. On December 6, the results were out.
2,529 applicants in all were eligible to take the exam's Personality Test. On May 18, the interviews came to an end.
The Commission has recommended 933 applicants (613 males and 320 women) for appointment to various services.
Top UPSC CSE 2022 scores
There are 14 women and 11 males among the top 25 applicants.
The top four qualifying candidates are all women, according to the final list.
The winner of the UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2022 is Ishita Kishore (Roll No. 5809986). Political science and international relations were her optional subjects, and they helped her pass the test. She received her degree in Economics with Honours from the University of Delhi's Shri Ram College of Commerce.
Garima Lohia (Roll No. 1506175), a Kirorimal College, University of Delhi, graduated in business and earned the second position with accountancy as her optional subject.
Uma Harathi N (Roll No. 1019872), a civil engineering graduate (BTech) from IIT, Hyderabad, came in third place and chose anthropology as one of her electives.
With zoology as her optional subject, Smriti Mishra (Roll No. 0858695), a BSc graduate from Miranda House College, University of Delhi, placed fourth overall.
Shruti Sharma achieved All India Rank 1 in the UPSC CSE 2021 final results the previous year. Girl candidates took the top three spots in each of the positions. Gamini Singla, a Chandigarh resident, received rank 3, while Ankita Agarwal earned AIR 2.
The UPSC CSE 2023 preliminary exams are set on May 28. On the official website, the admission cards for the exam have been made available.
This year, there were additional opportunities as a result of the IRTS's reinstatement in the civil service.
As a result, this year's merit list has suggested 933 individuals in total.
The top 25 chosen candidates are graduates of prestigious national universities like IIT, NIT, DTU, Gauhati Medical College, University of Health Science, University of Delhi, Gujarat National Law University, Jadavpur University, Jiwaji University, etc. with degrees in engineering, humanities, science, commerce, and medicine.
The top 25 successful candidates chose as their optional subjects for the Written (Main) Examination Anthropology, Commerce and Accountancy, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Law, History, Mathematics, Political Science and International Relations, Philosophy, Sociology, and Zoology.
41 People with Benchmark Disabilities (14 Orthopedically Handicapped, 7 Visually Challenged, 12 Hearing Impaired, and 8 Multiple Disabilities) are also recommended candidates.
