NEET 2024 Cutoff: MBBS/BDS Cutoff Scores for SC, OBC, ST, and General Categories
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG) 2024 on 14th June 2024. Along with the results, the NTA will also reveal the cut-off marks. For MBBS and BDS, candidates needed to score 50 on the NEET UG, while candidates from OBC, SC, and ST categories needed to score 40. The result link will be available on the official NTA website, exams https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/-UG, once it becomes active.
There are two different categories of NEET UG cut-offs: the qualifying cut-off and the admission cut-off. Meeting the cut-off list is a prerequisite for admission to the MBBS program at Indian medical colleges. The NEET UG qualifying cut-off scores are used for admission to international medical colleges .The NTA will use the scores from the All India Common Merit List for NEET UG 2024 to calculate the percentage. This year's cutoff for all categories is expected to be slightly lower. The cutoff range for the general category might be 720–130, for the SC category 129–108, for the OBC category 130-108, and for the ST category 128-106. In comparison, the general category cutoff was 715-117 in 2022 and 720-137 in 2023. For SC, ST, and OBC categories, the cutoff increased from 116–93 in 2022 to 136–107 in 2023. The NEET UG 2024 exam took place on 5th May, with over 24 lakh students participating. After the provisional answer key was released on 29th May 2024, medical candidates had until 31st May to raise any concerns.

- Good NEET Score: A score of 650 or higher on the NEET exam can secure admission to several good MBBS colleges.
- NEET Cutoff for MBBS Government Institutions in 2024: The anticipated cutoff is between 137 and 108 for SC/ST candidates and between 720 and 138 for Gen/EWS candidates.
- Validity of NEET Score: The NEET score is valid for one year for programs like MBBS, BSc Nursing, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and BSMS.

Admission to 1,01,043 MBBS, 52,720 AYUSH, 27,948 BDS, 487 B.Sc. Nursing, and 603 BVSc & AH seats will be determined based on the candidates’ NEET 2024 scores. Additionally, admission to over 1,200 seats in 19 AIIMS institutes and 200 seats in 2 JIPMER colleges will also be based on NEET 2024 scores.
