NEET PG 2024: Test City List Released

NEET PG 2024 City List: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released a list of 185 exam centers nationwide for the NEET PG 2024 exam. Registered candidates can allocate their preferred exam city on the official website until July 21. The exam will only be conducted in the cities listed by NBEMS.

The previous admit cards for the earlier scheduled exam on June 23 in which the test cities allocation is mentioned are now invalid. Candidates have to again select their preferred test cities from July 19 to July 21 up to 11.55 pm through the NBEMS official website by using their NEET PG-2024 login details.

Candidates must choose four preferred test cities based on their correspondence address state. If their state is full, they will be offered alternatives in nearby states. Test city allocation will be random, not based on candidate preference.

The medical board will inform candidates about their allotted cities via email on July 29, 2024. The test centre venue and examination timings will be communicated through the admit card released on August 8, 2024, on the NBEMS website http://natboard.edu.in/.

NEET PG 2024: Test City Allotment Issues

The NBEMS website and login page were shared by several NEET PG aspirants, and they appeared frustrated because they couldn't log in and select exam centres. The website displayed a message stating, "TCS's application for NEET PG 2024 test city selection is experiencing issues due to the ongoing global Microsoft outage. The application will become available once the issues are resolved by the end of the day."

Some of the candidates questioned the list of NEET PG 2024 cities as well as the lack of clarity in the test city allocation scheme. The medical board asked candidates to select four exam cities wherein they wish to appear for the exam. The window for choosing the preferred test cities will be available till July 21.

Reacting to the random allotment of cities from the preferred choices by NBEMS, a doctor wrote on X: "This is a serious issue. They are asking us to list 4 choices for exam centres, but students are being randomly assigned to one of the 4 centres. How can a student be expected to travel a long distance to a centre when there may be another centre nearby their house? This is pathetic."

NEET PG 2024: Counselling Process

NEET PG 2024 counselling dates and schedules will be announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling will begin most likely in the second week of September 2024. Candidates will have to register on the official website of MCC to participate in the seat allocation process for NEET PG 2024.
