NEET PG exam rescheduled, exam 11 August

NEET PG Exam 2024: The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for postgraduate programs, originally scheduled for June 23, has been postponed to August 11. On June 22, the government issued a press release announcing the postponement of the NEET-PG exam. This decision was made as a precautionary measure due to recent allegations regarding the integrity of certain competitive examinations.

The exam, which was originally scheduled for June 23, was cancelled just hours before it was set to take place. This precautionary action was taken based on reliable information suggesting potential cheating or impersonation during the Computer Based Test (CBT).

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Science received information indicating a high risk of cheating or tampering with the NEET-PG 2024 exam, despite no actual leak of exam questions.

A senior official stated, "There was no actual leak, but there were credible complaints and inputs regarding possible impersonation attempts at some centers. There were also intelligence inputs on the same. That is why the decision to postpone the exam was made."

On June 22, the government postponed the NEET-PG 2024 exam set for June 23 as a precaution due to concerns about the exam’s integrity. The Health Minister will carefully review the exam process and announce the new date, which has been rescheduled to August 11. These measures were implemented to safeguard the interests of the students and uphold the fairness of the exam.

With over 240,000 candidates competing for around 24,000 MD seats, 12,600 MS seats, and 900 PG Diploma seats at various medical institutions, the NEET-PG 2024 scores hold significant importance for securing admission to postgraduate medical programs in both government and private institutes.
