NEET UG 2024 answer key to be released by NTA soon, see updates

The National Testing Agency will soon release the answer key for NEET UG 2024. The dates are anticipated to be in a few weeks but official dates are yet to be announced. The applicants will be able to download the answer key once it is released from the official website of National Testing Agency, exams.nta.ac.in.


This year, the exam was held on 5th May 2024 and 25 lakhs students were estimated to appear for the exam across the country. The final result will be declared on the official website of National Testing Agency Itself. 

Marking Scheme:- 

The sum total of the written test is 720 marks, out of which, physics carries 180 marks, chemistry carries 180 marks, biology consists of 2 branches "zoology and botany" carries 360 marks. Out of 200 questions, students are mandated to attempt 180 questions to qualify. The marking scheme follows negative marking theme, 4 marks to be rewarded for each correct answer and 1 mark to be deducted for each wrong answer.

The anticipated NEET UG cutoff for this year is projected to be on par with last year's. For general category medical candidates, the estimated cutoff ranges from 715 to 117, while for General PH candidates, it's anticipated to fall between 116 and 105. Reserved categories such as SC, ST, and OBC are expected to have cutoffs ranging from 116 to 93.

Here's a simple guide on how to download the NEET UG Answer Key 2024:-

  • Go to the NTA NEET official website at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET
  • Click on the "Provisional Answer Key" link provided on the homepage.
  • A new window will open where you need to enter your login details like Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • Once logged in, the NEET UG 2024 Answer Key will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download the provisional answer key and print it out for your records.

National Testing Agency conducts NEET UG exam annually for undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS and BAMS, etc to fill in the seats in every medical and dental college across the country. 

The exam was conducted via offline mode on 5th of May 2024 in 500+ cities in India, 10+ cities in abroad with the maximum duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes. Approximately 24 lakhs students  appeared for the examination to fill in the vacant seats in AYUSH, medical colleges, dental colleges, BVsc and AH colleges nationwide.
