RPSC RAS Prelims 2024: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued an official notification about the rescheduling of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued an official notification announcing the rescheduling of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination, also known as the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) exam. Originally set for May 26, the exam will now be held on June 16. Candidates can view the RPSC RAS Prelims 2024 exam notification at rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
Additionally, the written exam dates for the positions of Exploration and Excavation Officer, and Curator in the Archaeology and Museums Department, have also been postponed. Initially scheduled for June 16, these exams will now take place on June 19 according to the updated timetable.
The RPSC RAS Prelims 2024 admit card will be released soon, although the exact date has not been announced. Based on the previous year's schedule, the admit card is expected to be available three days before the exam date. Official details regarding the release date and time will be posted on RPSC's official website, rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards by logging into the SSO portal with their login ID and password.
The RPSC RAS exam includes three stages: Prelims (1st stage), Mains (2nd stage), and Interview (final stage). Candidates who pass the Prelims will be eligible to move on to the Mains exam, followed by the interview round.

In the latest RPSC RAS Exam Pattern, questions based on mathematics have been removed from the RAS Mains Examination. This change was introduced in 2018, and the upcoming RAS Mains will follow this new pattern. The first stage of the RPSC RAS examination is the Preliminary Examination, which serves as a screening test to shortlist candidates for the RPSC RAS Mains exam.
Prelims:-
RAS Prelims is the first stage of the exam. If a candidate qualifies for the prelims, they become eligible for the next stage. The RPSC RAS Prelims Exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions totaling 200 marks. Candidates who pass the preliminary examination will receive admit cards for the RPSC Mains Exam. The marks achieved in the prelims exam will not be included in the final merit list as it is a qualifying paper.

Mains:-
l Candidates who clear the Preliminary Exam become eligible to appear for the main examination. The number of candidates selected for the mains exam will be 15 times the number of total vacancies.
l The Mains Examination will be descriptive. In this stage, there are 4 papers, and all papers are mandatory for candidates to attempt. The General Studies Papers will have a difficulty level equivalent to that of graduation level. However, the level of difficulty in general English and general Hindi will be higher, akin to the secondary level.
l The marks obtained by the candidates in the Mains Exam will be considered in preparing the merit list.
