SSC CGL 2024 EXAM Application Correction Date: Check Vacancy, Exam Pattern and more.

SSC CGL 2024: The SSC CGL 2024 Application Correction option will be made available by the Staff Selection Commission on August 10 and 11. Candidates have provided 2 attempts of application correction, For the first-time correction candidates have to pay INR 250 as the application correction cost. If a candidate wants to modify their application for a second time the correction amount of INR 500 would have to be submitted, remember that the commission will permit only two corrections.

The Staff Selection Commission-Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) 2024 application form was released on 24 June to the extended last day up to July 27, 2024. The tentative period for the SSC CGL exam is September to October. 

SSC CGL 2024: Application Correction Important Guideline

The following are some key instructions regarding the SSC CGL 2024 Application Correction mentioned by the Staff Selection Commission.

  • After the online application deadline, candidates will have 5 days to correct their registration and application data. They can make corrections and resubmit their applications twice during this time. If they make a mistake in their updated application, they can edit and resubmit it, but no further changes will be allowed after this period.
  • Candidates can only make corrections if they submit their application and fee on time. The latest modified application will be used for assessment, while previous versions will be discarded.
  • There is a fee for corrections: Rs. 200 for the first resubmission and Rs. 500 for the second. All candidates will be charged these fees, regardless of gender or category. Payments must be made online using Net Banking, BHIM UPI, or credit/debit cards.
  • Once paid, correction charges are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another exam. Candidates must ensure all information is correct before submitting the corrected application, as no changes will be allowed after the correction period ends. The Staff Selection Commission will not accept requests for changes made after the deadline in any form (post, fax, email, etc.) and reserves the right to reject such requests.

SSC CGL 2024: Application Status Check

Candidates who have applied form of SSC CGL 2024 can check their application status on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission, candidate can check whether their application form is accepted by the Commission or not. To check the SSC CGL application form status, candidates are expected to follow the steps that are given below:

  • First, go to SSC CGL's official website https://ssc.nic.in/.
  • On the home page, click the admission card at the top.
  • The screen will update with a new page that includes links to SSC CGL's regional websites.
  • Select the SSC CGL application status tab.
  • Click the submit button after mentioning the SSG CGL 2024 registration number and birthdate.
  • Download the application status for SSC CGL 2024.

Visit the SSC official website, click the "see application status of SSC CGL" button, and give the following information to check the status of their SSC CGL application form 2024: Date of Birth, Gender, Captcha, and Registration No.

SSC CGL 2024: Vacancy

As per the data provided on the SSC CGL official website, a total of 17,727 vacancies have now been mentioned. However, there is no declaration of any specific vacancy. In the previous cycle, the Staff Selection Commission advertised a total of 8445 SSC CGL vacancies. The SSC CGL vacancies are out for positions like Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Inspector of Income Tax, etc.

SSC CGL 2024: Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL examination is divided into 2 tiers. The first tier is easy but the second tier has 2 sessions and sections under each session. A simplified explanation of the exam pattern is given below:

  1. Tier 1 Pattern:
    The exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will feature multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and objective-type questions.
     The exam carries a total of 200 marks and is to be completed within 1 hour. There will be 100 questions.
    In total divided into four sections: General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
    Each section consists of 25 questions, contributing 50 marks per section.
    Additionally, there will be negative markings for incorrect answers.
  2. Tier 2 Pattern:
    Only those candidates who qualify for Tier 1 will be eligible to proceed to Tier 2.
    Tier 2 consists of three papers, conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
     Paper 1 is mandatory for all posts, while Papers 2 and 3 are specifically for auditors and statistics officers.

SSC CGL 2024: Preparation Tips

SSC CGL 2024 is going to be more challenging. Therefore, a solid preparation plan is a must-have. Here are the steps to follow:

Make a list of chapters you have practised well and the ones you don’t have much grip on. After that, you can prioritize according to that. Start preparing for chapters that are not clear first.

Practice previous years’ question papers. It will give you an idea of the question types and what areas the exam board focuses on.

 Once you are done with completing the syllabus you can start taking mock tests, it will make you learn how to manage time and answer everything in the exam hall. Refer to study apps like Unacademy, and Textbook for the mock tests.
