The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the 2022 exam schedule for paper 2 of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying, and Contract). The exam will be conducted on February 26, 2023. Candidates registered for the exam can check the details on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (ssc.nic.in).

SSC JE Paper 1 was conducted on November 15, 2022. The paper 2 examination will be of 300 marks, and it is a written type examination, not a computerized based examination. Two hours will be given for candidates to complete the examination. Paper 1 has negative marks. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be reduced from the right answer. But there is no negative marking on paper 2. The exam duration remains the same for both paper 1 and paper 2. 

THE SSC JE exam is conducted every year to select the candidates for the Junior Engineer position. Every year lakhs of candidates compete for the exam, with only a few vacancies available for the position. This exam is a bit tough to crack. Hence it is important for the candidates to take a look at the previous year's question papers to get an idea about the syllabus. 

Candidates with a B.E./ B.Tech or Diploma from a recognized university can apply for the exam. It has two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. C

Steps to Check the Examination Schedule

• Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (ssc.nic.in).
• Click on the link 'Schedule of Junior Engineer Examination, 2022' on the home page.
• The examination schedule will be displayed on the screen in PDF format.
• Download the PDF and save it for future reference. 

Paper 2 examination will be descriptive in nature, and it is divided into three parts. Part A of the paper will have General Engineering (Civil and Structural), part B will have General Engineering (Electrical), and Part C will have General Engineering (Mechanical). Candidates can write the paper 2 examination in either Hindi or English. There will be no reevaluation or re-checking of the scores in the exam. 

As per the official notification, the schedule is subject to the prevailing conditions and Government guidelines issued from time to time regarding the covid 19 pandemic situation.
