UPSC CGS 2023 Exam Admit Card Released: Check Details
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the Combined Geo Scientists Preliminary Examination admit card. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of UPSC (www.upsc.gov.in)
As per the official notification and schedule, the
UPSC CGS 2023 exam will be conducted on February 19, 2023, in 2 shifts. Shift
one is from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and shift two is from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The
paper code for the shift 1 exam is code no. 1. Whereas the paper code for the
shift 2 exam is code no. 2.
This year the UPSC recruitment drive is planning to
fill a total of 253 vacancies for the post of Geologist, Chemist, Geophysicist,
and Scientist 'B' post in the Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Jal
Sakthi, Department of water resources, river development & Ganga
rejuvenation, ministry of mines and 29 posts of scientist B in the central
ground water board.
Steps to Download the UPSC CGS 2023 Admit Card
- Open a web browser and visit the official website of
UPSC (www.upsc.gov.in)
- On the home page, click
on the What's new section.
- Click on the “e-Admit
card: Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary examination, 2023" link.
- It will redirect you to
another page.
- Enter your registration
number and pass number.
- Your admit card will
appear on the screen.
- Check whether the details
mentioned in the admit card are correct or not.
- Download the admit card
and take a printout for future reference.
Important Instructions to be followed on UPSC CGS 2023 Exam
- Candidates should bring the admit card along with
the identity proof to the examination hall. The admit card should be
preserved till the declaration of the results.
- Candidates should
carefully fill in the details in the OMR sheet. Any form of omission,
discrepancy, or mistake in the sheet, mainly with the registration number
and test booklet, will lead to immediate rejection.
- Ensure you reach the exam
venue at least one hour before the exam as the candidates have to go
through biometric attendance and QR code scanning of their admit card.
Also, note that entry to the examination hall will be closed 10 minutes
before the commencement of the exam.
- Candidates are instructed
to not apply any mehendi on their fingers as it will cause issues while capturing
the biometric attendance.
- For the wrong answers,
negative marks will be calculated. Hence, candidates have to answer them,
keeping these things in mind.
- Answers should be marked
on the OMR sheet using black ballpoints only. It will not be evaluated if
answers are marked using another color pen.
- Candidates whose photo is
not clear on the admit card should bring identity proof such as an Aadhaar
card, passport, or voter id. Also, candidates should bring 2 passport-size
photographs for each session.
- Wearing a face mask is
compulsory, and candidates should follow this throughout the examination.
Candidates will not be allowed without a face mask inside the exam
hall.
