UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2024 admit card released
The UPSC 2024 notice specifies several guidelines that candidates must strictly adhere to. These guidelines are:
- Candidates appearing for the UPSC 2024 Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination must present a printout of their e-Admit Card at the designated venue. Without the e-Admit Card, candidates will not be permitted to take the UPSC 2024 examination. Additionally, a Photo ID card, matching the number on the e-Admit Card, must be carried to each session of the UPSC 2024 examination.
- If the photograph on the e-Admit Card is unclear or lacks the candidate’s name and date, they must bring a photo ID and two passport-size photographs (with their name and date) for each session, along with an undertaking, to the UPSC 2024 exam. Any discrepancies on the e-Admit Card should be reported to the Commission via email at uscsp-upsc@nic.in for the UPSC 2024 examination.
- Entry to the UPSC 2024 examination venue closes 30 minutes before the exam starts: 9:00 am for the forenoon session and 2:00 pm for the afternoon session. Latecomers will not be allowed into the UPSC 2024 exam venue. Candidates must only appear at the venue specified on their UPSC 2024 e-Admit Card.
- Bringing valuables, mobile phones, smart watches, or other electronic gadgets to the UPSC 2024 exam venue is prohibited. Venue supervisors will not store these items, and candidates must make their own arrangements. Only the e-Admit Card, pen, pencil, identity proof, photographs (if applicable), and items specified in the e-Admit Card instructions are allowed inside the UPSC 2024 exam venue.
- Possession of mobile phones or other electronic devices, even if switched off, or any incriminating materials will lead to disciplinary actions, including cancellation of UPSC 2024 candidature, filing of FIR, or banning from future sessions. A black ballpoint pen is mandatory for filling out OMR sheets and attendance lists at the UPSC 2024 examination.
- Candidates can use simple wristwatches but not smart watches during the UPSC 2024 examination. Those who have legally changed their names post-matriculation must bring their e-Admit Card, a government-issued photo ID, and the original Gazette notification for each session of the UPSC 2024 exam.
