UPSC NDA & NA, CDS Exam tomorrow!

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to hold the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) examination on Sunday, September 1, 2024, across the nation. The admit cards for the exam have been released, and candidates who haven't downloaded theirs yet can do so from the official website, upsc.gov.in. The UPSC has provided several guidelines for candidates to adhere to on the exam day. It is important to note that no candidate will be permitted entry into the examination center without a valid admit card. Additionally, students must bring a valid photo ID along with their admit card to the exam center .Candidates are prohibited from bringing mobile phones, pen drives, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices to the examination center on exam day. They are required to use a 'Black Ball Point Pen' to mark their answers on the OMR Sheet.

The UPSC is also holding recruitment exams to fill 370 vacancies in the National Defence Academy and 34 vacancies in the Naval Academy. Furthermore, the CDS exam will seek to fill 459 positions within the organization.

"The use of any mobile phone (even if turned off), pager, electronic devices, programmable gadgets, or storage media such as pen drives, smartwatches, cameras, Bluetooth devices, or any other equipment or accessories that can function as communication devices during the examination is strictly forbidden. Violating these rules will result in disciplinary measures, including a prohibition from participating in future examinations," according to the official notification. Candidates must also bring a recent passport-sized photograph in addition to their admit card and ID proof to the examination center.

 

Steps to download admit card:-

Step 1: Go to the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the 'Admit Card' tab.

Step 3: Select the name of the exam.

Step 4: Enter your Registration ID and Date of Birth, then submit.


Step 5: Your admit card will appear on the screen.


Step 6: Download the admit card and print it out.

 

Please note that entry to the examination hall will close 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the exam. No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall after this entry closure.

 

Important instructions:-

Candidates planning to sit for the exam should print their admit cards in advance, as the UPSC will not provide physical copies.

It is mandatory for candidates to display their e-admit card at the exam center; failure to do so will result in denial of entry. Candidates should keep their admit card safe until the exam results are announced.

Each candidate must bring a photo ID, the details of which should match those mentioned on the e-admit card, to every exam session.

Candidates are required to arrive at the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the session begins.

Only black ballpoint pens may be used for marking answers on the OMR sheet. The use of other colored pens, pencils, or ink pens is strictly forbidden.

It is crucial for candidates to carefully fill out their Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code on the OMR sheet. Mistakes or discrepancies can lead to the disqualification of the answer sheet.

The official notification states that all electronic devices, including mobile phones, pagers, or any other programmable devices, are strictly banned at the exam site. This applies even if the devices are turned off. Bringing any such device may lead to severe disciplinary actions and could potentially result in a ban from future exams.
